Periodical Print Advertising

Newspapers, Magazines, and newsletters need to focus, cut fat and offer something different to stay with the times. Daily Newspapers and some weekly magazines are having a tough time during this recession. Newspapers are closing their doors or going 100% on line but can those that want to stay open do so?

First they need to ask their loyal followers why they continue to buy their product.

Daily papers need to break up their sections to provide a smaller paper each day the is focused and can be more relevant. What I mean is it need to be quick to read and relevant to those who read it.

For example it could be magazine sized with everyday's issue having a different focus. Each day would have news and business headlines with a quick synapses and links to more information. Then each day would be a weekly issue - Monday's Editorials on Current Events, Tuesday's Home Improvement and Real Estate, Wednesday's community Lifestyle Stories, Thursday's Entertainment, Friday's in depth business commentary, Weekend's photos, comics, and local news stories.

This way customers can subscribe to those publications that are relevant to them. They wouldn't feel overwhelmed with papers they can't get to piled up in the corner. Each day can provide more in depth information on their focused topics. It becomes a weekly periodical with different issues coming out daily.

Each issue would bring online traffic to their online versions for more in depth information and photos.

Just a thought.
